Yayasan Sime Darby Pre-University Scholarship Programme Posted: 25 Aug 2009 05:18 AM PDT Sime Darby invites qualified Malaysian citizens to apply for education sponsorship to pursue full-time foundation studies at recognized universities/ private colleges in Malaysia. Our scholarship will be offered to well-rounded Malaysian candidates who have attained excellent academic achievement, who demonstrate outstanding leadership qualities and potential and who devote time to make an impact to the community through their extra-curricular activities. Recipients of this scholarship will be sponsored to pursue foundation studies to prepare themselves for undergraduate admission at top overseas universities in Australia, Canada, Singapore, United Kingdom and United States. The Public Services Department (PSD) invites application for the 12 post-graduate scholarships under the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Scholarship Programme . The scholarships are divided into six places each for Master’s and PhD in the fields of Science and Technology, Economics and Law. The scholarships are meant for candidates with excellent academic and non-academic (extra-curricular activities) achievements to pursue post-graduate studies either locally or overseas. Priority would be given to candidates who have achieved excellent results in their undergraduate and Master’s degrees; and have abilities such as speaking several languages, are active in community activities, possessing special skills, and ability to produce creative and innovative works. Some of them are even one step ahead in their arguments that they reason with the meaning of an authentic hadith of the Prophet, which is: "Verily Allah does not look at your physical being, your outer appearance nor your wealth, but He looks at your heart and your deeds" (Narrated by Muslim).
