Taja: Program Biasiswa Pre-University (China) Sime Darby Tutup 20 April 2012

Peluang melanjutkan pelajaran pra-Universiti di bawah program tajaan Sime Darby dibuka sehingga 20 April 2012. Sesiapa yang berminat untuk mendapatkan tajaan tersebut, silalah lihat tawaran ini.

Recipients of this scholarship award will be sponsored to pursue foundation studies at selected academic institution in Malaysia to prepare themselves for undergraduate admission at top universities in China.

YSD Pre-University scholars would be given priority for YSD Excellence Scholarship Award (Undergraduate Overseas) to pursue their degrees in China, IF they meet the qualifying criteria upon completion of their foundation studies. The continuation of the degree programme is at the discretion of YSD.

Eligibility & Criteria

YSD Pre-University Scholarship Programme – China must fulfill the following requirements:

• Malaysian
  
• Students who achieved excellent result in 'Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia' (SPM) 2011
  
• Proficient in Mandarin AND/OR keen to pursue undergraduate courses at selected universities in China
  
• Bumiputeras are encouraged to apply
  
• Total household income will be taken into consideration
  
• Active participation in extra-curricular activities, sporting event and community service

• Strong leadership qualities through various leadership positions held in school and societies

Minimum Academic Requirement

• SPM (minimum 7As)

Note: Previous academic achievements will be taken into consideration.

Accepted Fields of Study
Scholarships will be offered to candidates who are inclined to pursue the following fields of study, subject to university’s admission offer:

• Business : Economics, Accountancy, Business / Management, Commerce or Finance 

• Engineering: Mechanical, Chemical, Civil or Electrical

Note: Scholarships for medicine degree are not available.

Value of Scholarship
Full scholarship includes tuition fees, board and lodging, computer allowance, shipping allowance, and flight ticket for beginning and end of study.

Recipients of scholarship will have the opportunity to undergo Scholars Development Programme and experience work exposure through internship within the Sime Darby Group of Companies. 
 
Service Bond Period
On completion of foundation and undergraduate studies in China, scholars will be required to serve Sime Darby Group of Companies for 5 to 6 years, depending on the duration and value of the award.
